As you all know, I have zero game knowlege (and even less street cred), but I’m anxious this might be a trap-game. I worry the boys are feeling good while getting a media boost, but Utah State seems to be the new red-headed stepchild of Utah with an attitude and something to prove.
What are ya’ll thinking. Let’s hear from those who know better…

Turnovers hurt the Ags badly their first 2 games. Horrible loss to Big Sky Idaho State but then gave Washington al they could handle. They take care of the ball and could give us a good challenge.

Bronco knows how to coach, especially defense, and McGiven / Mac-G came from Utah State, so I think this game could be ugly. We’re not going to roll them because they’ve never seen so many formations.
We should definitely win, but I won’t be surprised if it’s closer than everyone thinks based on the first two games.

I have no clue what to expect from USU. Lose at home to Idaho St. by 12 and then come within a single point of winning at Washington. Crazy variation there. I watched part of the ISU game and most of the Washington game. USU’s offense, save a long pass play early and a fourth-quarter drive, looked terrible against UW. But the Aggies looked very good on defense. There’s no excuse for Utah to lose this game, but I suspect it will be close. I predict a 24-16 Ute victory.

It makes me nervous because it’s a game we’re supposed to win against a team that is capable of beating us, coached by a guy who “plays on the edge of the rules”.
I just want a win with no injuries.

It will be interesting to see how the offense performs. Has McGiven changed up his offense much? Does he have different/better personnel to allow him to do things differently than he did in Logan? Do the Aggies know his offense enough to shut it down?
Should be a fun watch.

I actually really enjoy Hans Olsen analysis and I imagine he will have good things to say on both sides of the ball.

That’s what I’m saying! I hope the coaches’ and team captains’ can treat this just-like-the-Arkansas-game and come out blazing. Then, in the late 3rd quarter swap in the 2’s and 3’s but this time, don’t allow the garage time score.
Oh yeah! and I want Clemson to lose too.

At least it’s a. Ice mid day game so I’ll be awake at the end. I wish it was a slightly stronger matchup so we could show more but ah well. I have mixed feelings about the Aggies…somewhere between apathy and apathy. I am not worried about Saturday beyond the worry that someone we need on the team gets hurt in a game that doesn’t matter to us.

I prefer seeing a USU on the schedule over some glorified HS team from Moscow, ID. As always, I worry more about the team playing down to their competition than anything else. I also have concerns that Roscoe will have his team going full on John L Smith on the field, and our team will be peeing blood for a week from all the shots to the package.
This is a winnable game, but I don’t see the blowout the sports books have it inked in at.

Betting lines tend to just show where the bets are (bookies/casinos want same amount on both sides). I would expect a comfortable Utah win, but it will likely be closer than 4 TDs.

I watched a bunch of the dairy zoobs games and I am not worried about this game at all. After watching the Utes dismantle Arkansas I feel that another bloodbath is coming.

I also like playing the Aggies. I love going to Logan to watch it. I would like to see us do 2 for 1 games with them moving forward. Maybe twice a decade.

After last week I was puzzled and didn’t really know what to think of USU. Honestly though I don’t think it’s anything more than, USU and UW are both ■■■■■■ teams.

I’m not sure of what to expect, but if it’s that lopsided, I’ll be thrilled. Regardless, I am sincerely looking forward to a rare daylight hour game, and hoping any rain is typical Utah afternoon thunderstorms, rather than anything like yesterday.
