I was bumping around YouTube before bed last night and watched several previews of this game from both B12 podcasters and national guys. Nearly every one of them were choosing Iowa State to either cover the spread or win outright. While it was touch & go for a while, I’m very glad it ended how it did with a solid win,

Terrific 2 1/2 quarters. Brutal quarter and a half. All in all, a 14-point road win in conference. I will take it. Lots to work on.

They put up a W in their first game away from home, their first conference game, and their first real adversity of the season. Nice trifecta. Pretty much everything we could ask for.

Still blown away by this comment from the replay booth.
Reminds me of one time at my work. An auditor said “how do I know you didn’t make an accounting entry for that”. My reply “here are all the books that have all the accounting entries in them for the last several years. Go through them and if you can’t find an entry, then you know I didn’t make one”

I took it as saying they didn’t have an angle to see whether it did or not so the call had to stand. Which is stupid, seeing as how they DID have an angle that showed it.

ISU’s DC and head coach mentioned this week Utah’s 2 QB system is more similar to Montana State’s than North Dakota State’s. (They were at South Dakota State before last year).
Might be why we didn’t see a lot of both DD and Byrd at the same time.
