Confession time: I used to be SO excited for college football season to start. Was one of the highlights of the year. Felt like Christmas and Birthday all wrapped into one.
I don’t know if it’s just because I’m getting older and my priorities have shifted, or if it’s the chaos of life in general, or if it’s all the NIL/realignment BS surrounding college football, but I just have very little energy about going to the game tonight. I’ll still be there, but honestly would kinda rather watch it at home (probably would If I wasn’t going with a friend).
It’s a weird feeling. Maybe I’m just in a football slump this year.
Anyways, enough with the downer…back to your regularly scheduled Gameday shenanigans.
So I was lucky the store was still stocked (as everyone here in Magna seems to be headed out of town today for parts unknown-and a five day weekend). As you all who will be tailgating are already in chill mode, I have a ton of work to do on the tablegate. My wife finalized the menu yesterday.

I believe the spread is at 5 now. We’ll see it it moves anymore leading up to the game. If you’re betting on this one, bet on the money line.
ok, game time is approaching. Utah will win this game, but as a UF fan, I simply want to see a team that is disciplined, lines up correctly, no stupid penalties, that kind of thing. It is an honor to play Utah, and very good for UF to start the season on the road, non conference, clear across the country.
It is a very young team Napier is putting on the field against you, with a huge roster turnover from last year. So end the end, I just want The Gators to play sound football, and look like they know what they are trying to do. It is an excellent test, as we are frankly outmatched, but hopefully we make a game of it.
