According to the latest NET rankings, The Runnin’ Utes would be a #8 or #9 Tournament seed.

They’re also receiving votes in both Top 25 polls

Nothing wrong with it. Just pathetic. Also, I’m old, so I equate such behavior with kids being on my lawn.

Yeah, those punk whippersnappers need to go be dumb on their parent’s lawn.

I bet they want their “participation badge” from TDS for attending the game, too.

Bracketology (for Dec 12) has Utah newly added to the field as a 10 seed. But have a lot of hoops left before March.

This is why I love CBB. This sequence is just heart-pounding.

The sequence that started at 2:36 and ended with Madsen’s 3-pt shot.

  1. Sad to see Gianna Kneepkens on her little scooter.

  2. The gymnasts were like kids on christmas morning. Very fun to see that excitement.

  3. The female athletes mostly went towards the Cherokee.

  4. Love Alissa Pili and her stoic demeanor.

There’s a lot of details missing.

The biggest question is what circuits this affects.

Just being in federal court does not mean it’s automatically applied throughout the country

True, but sometimes an org like NCAA will then just apply it across the board. But they can be petty. My company has some policies just to make it uniform to CA (sick time) or CO (salary range posting) laws … but also only pays home internet for WFH in some states, grrr.

Well that answers that.

NCAA has said it applies to all and there will be no punishment if the order is reversed

And then the ncaa does their usual and reverses course saying anyone who plays will lose eligibility if the temporary restraining order is reversed.

Par for NCAA

The way I read this, it’s only a trial court judge and the restraining order only applies for two weeks. So it’s not even final. If it becomes final the NCAA could appeal.

Also, this:

Editor’s note: This story has been updated with new information from the NCAA after it reversed course Thursday and said that games played during the 14-day period by impacted players would count against eligibility.

That’s what I posted above. Yesterday the NCAA provided a “Q&A” document saying there would be no punishment or loss of eligibility if people played.

Today they did a complete 180.

It’s mind boggling now inept they are.

It’s time for the NCAA to go away. They are an anachronistic organization that if it weren’t for the money would already be dead.

I agree. I would suggest that it be run by one of the big oil companies.

And here I thought the NCAA was run by a cabal under a Kansas City Pizza Parlor.

They are a really ignorant bunch who are still floating on a river in Egypt ever since the Ed O’Bannon ruling.
