@ Utah State thread

Kyle says they were worried about Barnes knowledge of the defense so they changed things up.

When it was obvious that wasn’t working they went back to the usual defense.

Yous are the one team that losing to doesn’t completely wreck the sports day, was a fun 3 quarters.

Imagine yous feel batter about your backup situation after that.

Great to see the pig farmer still has grit. He nearly threw us out of the stadium. You’re team played well and you have real talent. Hope you have a great year.

Credit the Ags for coming to play - not surprising, knowing Barnes - but they really brought the energy on both sides, they were prepped.

But that kind of focus and energy is hard to sustain over four quarters, we weathered the storm and Wilson found a groove… this game was a lot more important than notching a win.

Gameball - Wilson We’ll face tougher defenses, but this was a crucial step. This was his best showing since the spring game, it’s coming together. There were some clear misses - air-mailing the receiver when he could have got the 1st with his legs - but discussions in the QB room will have a new depth this week.

Offensive players of the Game - Beside Wilson, Micah Bernard came up big, again. Great to see Dorian Singer break out. That Lohner guy might be OK at football, afterall, lol. Mike Mitchell is a warrior - I hope he heals up. O-line got past the initial surge and looked much better. Kuithe is rounding into form and UCLA refugee Carsen Ryan had a helluva catch on a 4th and goal to make Wilson look better than the throw justified.

Defensive Players - Smith Snowden is really starting to emerge, and welcome to Utah, Cam Calhoun! Safety Rabbit Evans #13 getting meaningful snaps, and overgrown safety Johnathan Hall #3 made everyone think Damuni might be back, but he’s just scratching the surface of his potential at LB. Great to see #57 Tanuvasa back at DT, hope Scooby Davis #9 heals quickly.

Special Teams - Everyone did what they’re supposed to do - Jack, Cole - so no drama, except the basketball recruit #84 is becoming a serious weapon.

Getting a win over a highly motivated opponent is always an accomplishment, but time to crank it up a couple of notches. Okie State looked very polished over instate Tulsa, time for everyone to heal up, learn and prep for another afternoon game, this time in Stillwater.

Go Utes ! ! !
