Utah had our first franchise playoff win last night.
Many here remember back in the Sugar Bowl when during the pre-game coin flip with the captains, a rather large Bama player told Stevenson Sylvester “I’m gonna kill you” and Sly had a rather productive outing in particular in what was a dominant Utah first quarter leading to an epic win.
Sunday night, at the end of a rather rough and rowdy game 1, the teams mixed it up a bit and one of the Golden Knights seemed to say “I’m going to f*cking kill you” to Cooley and I thought back to that Sugar Bowl.
they played sluggish for a period and a half then came alive .
it seems like the last five six minutes of the OT was utah stuggling to clear the puck out of their side. they slowed down for earlier in the OT where they were flying around. tough loss.
tusks up for the next one going to vegas 3-2 would be great
As it was late, I turned it off and went to bed after Vegas seemed to score at the midway point of OT not realizing it was under review. Found out this morning they disallowed it and kept on playing. Would have been a very pleasant surprise if Utah had pulled it out.
Sleepy morning after last night’s double OT heartbreaker.
Have to do better on our power play. One PP goal (I believe) the entire series and we have given up a short handed score 2 games in a row including last night’s winner.
