I remember him well also… this is unbelievably sad, and I’ll happily contribute to the GoFundMe.
CTE is a very serious problem for professional athletes in some sports who entertain us all. American and English football being a couple sports close to the top of that list, and I’m not sure about boxing, MMA, etc.
They pay a huge price for the entertainment they provide

Newman was the other DE along with Derrick Shelby who moved inside to play DT when we had a rash of injuries. They were undersized, but thrived as quicker DTs.
He had transferred from CU, IIRC, was a SR when Shelby was a FR…
Way too young. Thoughts with his loved ones.
