I am so sick of all of this NIL crap. Family on three? Not anymore.
For every player taken, there should be an audit of the private school.
Wasnāt this the guy who said that God told him to transfer (or something to that effect)? If so, no surprise he ended up with the zoobs.
Bama with 3 turnovers in 1st 3 plays (heavy rain), but rain stopped and fought back to 10-16 halftime deficit. Interesting one. UM without top 2 RB and short field 4 times only led to 3 FG and 1 TD. Alabama definitely not showing why they should have been included in the playoff (still better than some of the auto-qualifiers, but we shall see).
Same with some chatter TDS shouldāve been included (ok, CU was decent and had Sanders/Hunter, but no run offense and no defense) - couldāve gone and been killed like SMU just the same.
They could make this playoff as big as they want, and at the end of the day someone is going to complain about something. These complainers are the same ones who will always sacrifice the good on the alter of the perfect.
What the first playoff got here was good enough. Maybe refining the metrics will create a better first round the next time.
Agree. Re-seeding (you still get a bye) could be beneficial. There are going to be some qf blowouts and some qf that are like #1 vs #3. Some have 5-8 all advancing, but thatās just due to some unique circumstances.
Basketball tourney and people are arguing why their team didnāt make it and they are like the 45th best team. Clearly, this year, there are 1-3 very good teams, 5 more good teams, and 7-8 pretty good teams after that.
I think eight teams in the playoff would be fine. And I tip my hat to BYU for its performance against Colorado, but BYU still didnāt deserve a playoff spot.
I think 8 if there are no conference autobids (then it is basically BCS or 4-team bias issues), but with them, 14 or 16 just so most play. Every once in a while, you get an upset. Right now, 5/6 usually better than 3/4 seeds. The 1st round home game was fun. QF, SF as bowl games fine.
Go to 16 and get rid of most of the other bowls or limit to 8 wins+. Maybe itās ok to allow for extra practice, but so many opt outs in these exhibitions.
Just saw this on Facebook
We scored quintuplets?
Nate Johnson returning.
A different offense + a kid who didnāt see his fortunes blossom elsewhereā¦ might be a nice reset.
Iām fine with the move, but I donāt want to see him play QB. To my knowledge, he is the first Ute football player to leave, play for another team, and then come back. But there was a Ute basketball player a few years ago that did this. Both Gach played for two seasons, went to Minnesota, and then returned for one more season.
I donāt care what position the coaches decide is best for him to play to benefit the team. The kidās a great athlete. We canāt have enough of them.
I hope he plays mostly at WR, but jet sweep option pass? Some wildcat. KR, PR. Does he play DB? And if Dampier is 1 with Wilson 2, heās a good replacement if Dampier gets injured (season-ending)
Sounds like he could be a Covey type of player. I think he could have a nice impact on the offense lining up at a few different positions.
I know we hate to hear about Alabama or SEC schools but this has been common since the portal. Lot of these dudes donāt have enough tape in HS to warrant a spot butbprove themselves in smaller conferences. Usually, Iād be more worried about dudes coming from other P4s unless your team threw a bag of money at them.
Point well taken.
