Sorry, but Whit’s time is over. Love what he has done. But he just doesn’t have it any longer. His decision-making is terrible, and the team is increasingly more sloppy and undisciplined. Sadly, it might be a while before Utah beats BYU again. Just so frustrating. Good thing it’s just a game, eh?
Our kicker hits it from 40+ What’s with the Manosphere “go for broke” attitude. Take the points. Take out the home crowd
Yeah, he picked a helluva time to get reckless
And once again Whittingham comes up short in a big game. I do not know why everyone supports him, but I’m tired of this crap.
Yep - when Utah starts playing desperate, everything falls apart - players and coaches
He always comes up short in big games lately. He needs to find a new career.
Hoping this doesn’t turn into a “beat us twice” game. Colorado’s looking decent (and coming off a bye) and having Barton out for the first half will hurt next week.
Bogus call hurts like salt on the wound.
This was a win-able game.
WTF?
Not looking forward to the post-Whitt era, but losing three straight to your rival is a sure sign that it’s time to hang it up
11 penalties. Then the twelfth penalty is 12 men on the field. Then a sack on 4th down deep in BYU territory. Total meltdown. Like the Texas Tech game. So again we turn a hard fought game into a blowout at the very end.
And we give BYU undisputed 1st place in the B12.
So who ends their win streak?
Who cares?
Seriously
Looks like our QB woes continue into year 3. In the 2 losses, when Dampier has been forced into throwing, he’s been bad. It doesn’t help that the team doesn’t have enough good receivers.
IMO the best that that this season has, is that the team will go bowling. I expected the team to get to a bowl game. I thought 8-4 for the season would be a great result. I still think 8-4 would be a great result for this team.
All that said, everyone has a model on how to throttle our team. We’ll get at least one more win, probably 3 IMO. The team has beaten who they should, and gagged against good teams, minus ASU.
I had us at 8-4 this year, so we’re about on track for expectations.
That’s fair.
I wanted this one too much.
Props to BYU . They won.
Less the cheap a shots and prancing
I’m caring less and less about CFB in this unlimited money/super conference era, which is probably for the best since, like most small-state schools, we’ll be even less competitive than we were under the BCS.
It was over when we went for it on 4 and 7
Per the Googles onside kicks are only 8% successful.
At least BYU still hasn’t beaten Utah by double digits since 1996.
You get credit for finding the pony.
