I know fed government employees absolutely cannot work if furloughed.
Spoke to a friend that works for Utah Athletics. Said he’s lucky. Has to take two weeks off between now and the end of the year. Can choose which two weeks he >wants. Not 100% sure but I think he did say that he can take vacation time to cover the two weeks.
It’s still not good but it certainly doesn’t mean the entire department is shutting down. Not going to lie, we’ve had cutbacks at our company that are probably worse than this.
