Utah at UCF

Well, maybe. I hoped for more than 3 yards and 10 seconds off the clock.

Ending the bad season with 2 pick 6

Great effort tonight.

Whit deserves this. So does Bottari and Barnard. And the defense.

Robert Smith needs to quit harping on Whittā€™s decision.

Iā€™m glad I hung on to see our team step up behind a 5th string QB to play with pride and end the season on a Wā€¦on the road, across the countryā€¦night after Thanksgiving.

Feels pretty good after 2 months of pain.

Problem is this just amplifies how ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  Kyle is. He couldnā€™t identify that Wilson was the worst of the 5 qbs?

Thatā€™s what you bring? Go back to bed.

Iā€™ll take a 14 point win in a game we were 10 point dogs in.

Hope Bottari has a great future as a coach.

Now we rebuild and get ready for next year.

I hope we donā€™t see BYU after tomorrow night :sunglasses:

Go Utes!

Bottari ends his career at Utah 2-0 as a starter so weā€™ve got that going for us.

Seriously, twice heā€™s done what had to be done. Nothing wrong with that.

Got a lot of holes to fill to be contenders next season. Ending with a win it a good thing. Wish it wouldā€™ve been over BYU.

Iā€™m bracing for a lot of upheaval even if Whitt comes back. (Our home hopes he does. This is no way for our most successful coach ever to go out.). Itā€™s virtually impossible to guess what happens in the transfer portal. Iā€™d be stunned, though, if there werenā€™t some assistant coach moves.

I suspect that a whole new offensive regime is coming in next season. I have no knowledge, just a guess on my part.

Well, that was not a pretty game. The 2 pick 6s were nice, and the fumble recovery. I was happy to see Micah Bernard hit or come really close to 1000 yds for the season.

Hereā€™s to next football season being one to remember, hopefully for the right reasons.

ESPN says he finished the season at 922.

That was coming into the game. He had 87 tonight, so 1,009 for the year.

Regardless of all the bad luck, bad breaks, bad calls, injuries, transfers, weather, travel, etc, Utah once again proved:

We NEVER lose 8 in a row! :grinning:

On the postgame show, Whit refused to talk about his future plans. Didnā€™t want to take anything away from the players. I respect that. But I hope he decides soon. Iā€™m torn about what Iā€™m hoping he decides to do. Iā€™d love to see him come back and go out with a much, much better season. And it sure would be a slap in the face to Zoobs everywhere if that happened. But there are times when I have thought he seemed tired or that the game has passed him up. I donā€™t know. Tough call to make.

I didnā€™t watch the game (family activitiy) but I do think the stats are very interesting. UCF beat us in every category but one, and it wasnā€™t close. I think the story of the game is the statistical category that is the only one we did win: the 3-0 turnover margin for Utah.

Yes, pretty amazing through 10 games, zero pick sixes then 3 in 2 games !!
