Pasch is also the Cardinals pbp announcer, and did their game Sunday afternoon. I assume he knows all things Phoenix, and can riff on ASU in his sleep.

I think arizona has this right on the broadcast quality. Pasch was probably thinking during the broadcast “we’ve talked about the ASU job 17 different ways! Where does Walton find the inspiration to talk for hours about forty different topics?”
At halftime, Pasch calls Walton.
“Look, Bill, I know I gave you ■■■■ about taking something at halftime before you went on one of your streams of conciousness. What exactly did you take? The Utes are clobbering the Sun Devils and I’m running out of stuff to talk about!!!.”
Walton: “Hi Dave. I’m in my hot tub, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Life is grand, Dave. Have you ever considered when you really think about it, how Beethoven and the Mojave Desert have the same acoustical signatures?”

All the talk over ASU’s next coach for the last half an hour of the game was annoying, but I guess the announcers had to find something to maintain general interest. Honestly, I don’t know who takes that job. Who is the last really good ASU coach? Frank Kush? I guess John Cooper did well but was only there for a couple of seasons.
My concern is we have a game in SLC vs the Beavs, and all the announcers do is prattle on about U$uCk and bASUra.
This should be a very good game and the announcers could totally blow it, by going on a non sequitur tangent.
