The pet peeves thread

After all those years when Dandy Don was emphatic on the point:

“…requires the express written consent - and I do mean express…”

Doesn’t matter how early I get to bed on Sunday night, I’m always a groggy mess on Monday mornings. Typically takes me 2-3 hours and a ridiculous amount of caffeine before I really get functional.

Not sure why, as I’m generally fine every other morning of the week. Mondays just suuuuuuuck.

I think the same can be said about drivers, regardless of lane. Yes, it is possible to be dangerous by driving too slowly for the roadway.

They do here in NC, at least most parts of NC. Can’t let you be ahead of me, will ride your ■■■ if I think you’re too slow. Then I’ll get in front of you and slow down. Let’s face, drivers suck, across the board.

When the salesman says “they will deliver it on Tuesday”, and Tuesday comes and no delivery. So you call the place and talk to the warehouse and tell them that the salesman said it would be delivered on Tuesday and the warehouse guy says, “he shouldn’t have told you that”.

People who drive while reading their stupid ■■■■■■■ cell phones.
People who drive 6 inches (or less) off someone else’s bumper.
Besides the Brickyard 500, WHO DOES THAT?!!
How can anyone feel entitled to drive that close to another 3K+ vehicle at speed?
Is it fun to know you are 1. pissing someone else off? 2. distracting another driver? and 3. putting yourself in a position to be completely at fault if you strike a vehicle from behind?

Imbeciles.

All the dudes in lifted, black, coal-rolling pick-ups who get they’re mirrors as close as possible to my head as I bike in 90+ degree heat up some canyon because they think I’m a “Lib-tard” therefore unworthy of common courtesy as a human being or motor-vehicle laws and ordinances in general.

I hate it when we get close to the beginning of football season when everyone’s pet peeves hit a crescendo…because something has to do it.

I’m going to pretend I didn’t see that…

There are probably multiple Joe Kellys, but the sports version is a quirky relief pitcher now back with the Dodgers. In 2020, he mocked one of the Astros players, inspiring a mural in SoCal.

I love him.

People who leave 3-4 car lengths between them and the next car at a stoplight. Especially when doing so backs up traffic into a busy intersection (looking at you, Bangerter and 114th).
