The pet peeves thread

  1. People overusing the words literally and like.
  2. The use of apostrophe’s :persevere: where they shouldn’t be.
Eliminate these from daily life and I’d die happy.

Yes! What I remember most (with fondness) was that cool circular ramp in the parking garage. My dad would Mario Andretti the thing to the utter dismay of my mother and sisters. :sunglasses:

So you discovered Castleton’s was where all the cool kids shopped?

Serious question:

Has anyone personally experienced Shazam correctly identify a single tune, from any genre, any timeframe? And if so, what was it?

This does not answer your question in that I don’t use Shazam. I use SoundHound and it often correctly identifies songs.

Odd. I use Shazam quite a bit and it’s usually spot on.

We shopped at the Olympus Hills location.

That was the other side of the earth for me back then.

My mother-in-law worked at Castletons in the late 70’s

I remember as a little kid going to Auerbach’s downtown with my mom.

There was a hunched over old guy who was the elevator operator. You’d get in and he’d grumble “what floor?” I knew right away I didn’t want to become an elevator operator.

I might’ve known her. I was there in about 1978.

Rats. Nope, I was imprisoned in Men’s Clothes. Didn’t get out and about much.

You were imprisoned in men’s clothes? That’s a drag.
