Today I listened to The Replacements “Let It Be”, which was great. I also caught myself listening to R.E.M., X, Sugar, and The Talking Heads. Recently I’ve been listening to full-length albums and it’s been very rewarding. I have a goal to listen to at least 100 full-length albums by the end of the year.

I’ve been listening to them a lot lately. They are re-releasing Stop Making Sense sometime next month in theaters. There will also be a new vinyl of SMS, I’ve preordered it.

I never got the whole Steely Dan thing, but I’ll give it a try.

I listened to part of a Blind Faith record upon the recommendation of my old music professor. It was such a yawner for me. I think the only Clapton I like is Cream. Everything outside of that is cheese town for me. For instance, I don’t like “Layla”, not even a little bit. I hate that song.

It’s like “Stairway to Heaven”. A good song, but I don’t need to hear it anymore.

For the record, there are Beatles songs that I feel the same way about. Hey Jude, Michelle, Drive My Car, Long and Winding Road…just to name a few.

I like other classic rock acts, most notably Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Stones, The Eagles, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, etc, etc.

I mean, for me he’s a pretty horrible person to the point that it also makes it really hard to like his music. I respect his talent but wtf.

I liked Clapton in the Yardbirds, Cream, and Blind Faith. Wasn’t much of a fan of the other iterations, especially his solo stuff.
