I’ve spent most of my life in the PNW and this is why I’ll never tire of it. Saw this guy, a bald eagle, just hanging out today. He chilled on the grass for a good five minutes… the crows were not happy about it. This is next to Elliott Bay Trail, a mile north of downtown Seattle.
The photos are pretty grainy as I zoomed in from 50+ yards away and never got too close.

My little buddy, a ten inch tall adult Western Screech Owl, is back, WAYYY before fall, and seated quietly, bored, and resting a few feet from my back door and patio. He was watching me grill steaks for dinner tonight.

I take a lot of photos of Antelope Island on my evening workout hikes, but the view yesterday was funky.
Caught the sun peeking through a hole in the clouds, but because of wildfire smoke blended with clouds the sun appeared like you’d see it right at sunset.

One of the most enjoyable things I bump into on TikTok or Instagram is owlcore threads and reels. I wish to God I’d ever had a chance to work with those animals because they’re fascinating I absolutely love them.

It’s better at Budokan live, but Sumo is entertaining to watch. I always thought it would be smart to train linemen in Sumo.

Honestly speaking, it would be a very rare lineman who would have the intelligence and wisdom come and I do mean both of them, to truly appreciate an honor the concepts and traditions behind sumo. It is not just like one of those ridiculous game versions with a blown up suit or like the people who fight in the Godzilla suits. This is supposed to be a very ancient and honorable thing. And very few men who want to play lineman are going to be carrying enough to give it the proper respect.

I have a joke with my kids, whenever we see a ray of light peeking through the clouds, I say, “Oooh… looks like someone is having a vision!”

Out riding my bike when I saw this late today, and laughed a bit as it made me think of you @RockerUte 
Edit to say: I missed the most spectacular version of it, with about 12 streams of light all coming down from one spot. It took me about 15 seconds to stop riding, get my phone out, pull up the camera, and point and click. By then, at least half of the streams of light were gone.
