The water at Bear Lake is beautiful, but for the life of me, I can’t understand the appeal. As a lifelong boater, I can’t think of many places I wouldn’t rather be than Bear Lake. Boring bathtub that is slammed with boats and jet skis (and a ton of novice boaters), and pretty much zero beach these days (and even when the water is low, the mucky ■■■■ that qualifies for a beach is awful).

Spent my childhood and now early to mid(ish) adult summers at Flaming Gorge. In fact, heading up there tomorrow morning with the wife and kids and staying until Monday.
