Really odd timing, wish him the best.
Beat of luck to him. With what all he had to on this year I have a hunch that bothering to finish the semester with acceptable grades could explain the timing. That’s not to bag on him either. Plenty of kids get disrupted for lots of reasons. He just has a decent alternative path he can try.
