No clue, I was wondering the same thing.

They immediately promoted Steve Saunders. Weddle gives him a sterling recommendation from his time with the Ravens. I have known Greg for a while. Very good guy and well respected. Scalley remarked that the team really did a good job of avoiding injuries in Spring. Greg’s wofe, Ann, was also employed in the Athletic Department, and is no longer listed the Athletic Department staff directory. Interesting. Happy they have someone in place with the experience of Saunders.

Set for his first season with the Utes in 2026, Saunders takes over as Utah’s director of football sports performance after joining the staff in a supporting role in February.

Previously in the NFL with the Ravens, Saunders joined Baltimore’s staff in 2016 before being promoted to director of performance in 2017, spending seven seasons with the franchise.

Saunders graduated from Millersville University (Lancaster, PA), where he was a captain and four-year starter at DT. He earned multiple All-ECAC and All-PSAC honors.

Saunders was born and raised in Myerstown, PA and attended Eastern Lebanon County HS, where he was a standout in football, basketball and baseball. Saunders and his wife, Emily, have five children: two daughters (Lily and Morgan) and three sons (Logan, Stone and Major).
