Some cycling news from NC

This is some good and happy news to pass on to help brighten this nippy winter time, and add some cheeriness to some not so cheery places.

Mrs CCU and I have been watching this team and its local riders for several years. Jon Hamblen has had the goal to make his team a big deal, not just in the Carolinas but nationally. I’m unsure of his international goals.

Odds are you’ll get to see some of them at the Utah Crits (used to be Salt Lake Crits) in June.

We’re happy to see these guys move up the ranks. Hopefully they will make a splash nationally.

I think everyone shares the memory as a child, whereupon being on a bike makes one feel like they are flying. How marvelous to witness the truly dedicated and talented riders who actually are flying.
Brava!! Hup hup!!!

That’s great. I’ve helped volunteer and been a spectator at that the Salt Lake Crit. Watching those guys/gals fly around the corners is truly impressive.

I’m still just a big kid at heart, and have never outgrown the love of riding a bicycle. I don’t “fly” down canyons the way i did when I was younger, but at 68 still get out as often as possible, in fact, going out for a nice long series of uphill intervals on the avenues in a couple of hours.

I love watching young people train and compete, and love attending racing events whenever possible.

With the spine problems I now have, long walks and hiking are not currently an option, but I am extremely grateful for the ability to still get out on bike.

Happy riding!
