So does anyone know the story on Khalil Tate?

He didn’t look injured, but also didn’t start the game against Oregon. Did I miss something?

He was losing games by overplaying his abilities. See DTR against Utah for an example.

He’s been splitting reps with the freshmen QB, (I forgot his name), the last 4 or so games. Earlier this season Tate was injured and relieved. After he returned, a couple games ago, they alternated series.

His wheels got him all that attention his first year. After that injury, he’s either not the same or teams know how to defend his style.

I think this all has been more about Sumlin and job preservation. Play the Freshman, act like you’re building something, etc etc. Sumlin knew they’d get waxed by Oregon, and now Utah this week…
