Their 2027 schedule has two games with Top 25 teams last year and now they are balking at playing Notre Dame? An away game in Columbus, Ohio and home against Illinois is too much of a test so they want to ditch the Notre Dame game?
Nobody asked them to blow up the Pac 12. Now that they have to live with their actions they are ducking. They are never beating the Spoiled Children rap.
I’ve seen this rumor a couple of times on r/cfb. U$C gets all sorts of crap for even contemplating this issue. U$C fan tries to pin blame on Riley, which kinda makes sense based on his history of bailing on OU to U$C.
ND could have easily dropped SC when they joined ACC scheduling but they didn’t. I’m not saying this because my daughter now has ND in her top 5 but because we were recently on campus and that’s ND’s favorite rivalry game. To lose this rivalry would just be another huge strike against College Football. I would contend it’s a top 5 rivalry.
I see you’ve still not recovered from TDS (Trojan Derangement Syndrome). For absolution say “Beat the bRuins” 6x, “Beat the I-wish” 4x, and listen to “Tusk” 2x.
Very telling, you said TDS. It’s called laughing at a once-powerful program becomes scared of its own history. Also, you are right in the spirit of one thing. I will never forget who killed the Pac 12 and now a rivalry. I hope it’s their case of “Curse of the Bambino.” Tuck the Frojans!
They really are making the SEC teams look like they schedule well. That’s an accomplishment.
Let’s face it folks…Utah was the “Happy Home Wreckers” of the PAC 12. We spent the better part of a decade living rent free in U$C’s heads, making them look for a place and where they could “win on their laurels” again. For them, consistently losing to a team they felt didn’t even deserve to clean their pools was just too much to take. Between that humiliation and always being the school were rich kids go who weren’t smart enough to get into UCLA or Berkeley, burning down the PAC 12 to live on Plane Food and playing an OOC of directionally named Community Colleges…but the money!
For the record, I like having @ghostofOCGreg visiting us, but the hard reality he has to deal with is he has to watch #GhostofU$CFootball - a team and a program that will never even get a sniff, let alone win, the B1G.
I ran into a Texas grad last week, who saw my Utes hat. He commented on it was nice to the Big XII repped. I was blunt in my respond, in that I’m glad in that I’m glad that our Utes have a home, I’d prefer to have stayed in the Pac-12, and U$C sucks for breaking it. The Texas grad agreed on U$C and the ■■■■storm that they created. So, if a TU grad can see that U$C screwed the proverbial pooch, then U$C really screwed the proverbial pooch.
They’re reporting it. I can say the SEC and ACC know how to ensure the victims never report. Knowing the Big XII has Baylor and BYU I am sure it’s also the story.
