I wonder if it would be illegal to show “Roots” now in an Alabama or Florida classroom?
The first movie I saw him in was called “Skin Game”. Good movie starring him, James Garner, Ed Asner, Susan Clark, and a few others that I can’t remember at the moment. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.
Excellent in An Officer and a Gentleman.
Those states would allow the showing only if they could play it backwards.
Too young…
The case that will always be a case study by the LAPD in how not to perform a murder investigation.
Whoa, just saw that
I wouldn’t actually put this in the “RIP” category. More like the “Enjoy Hell, Murderous Pig” category.
FWIW, when choosing which college to play for, OJ very nearly chose Utah before deciding on USC.
The story I have heard is that it was pretty much a done deal. Then there were some logistical issues, and he signed at USC at the last minute. Crazy to think what might have been (good and bad).
Perhaps the butterfly effect would have Ron and Nicole living happy lives today with OJ doing beloved commercials for a Salt Lake car dealership.
LOL, I could have seen him doing Totally Awesome Computer Ads with Dell Schanzee
Not national or even international news, but I do remember Ted Wilson as Mayor of Salt Lake City.
Ted Wilson was a noteworthy leader in SLC. By all appearances he seemed like a genuinely good guy and a really good mayor. And a few people thought he was a doppelgänger for our football coach Wayne Howard. Maybe it was only Bill Marcroft who noted the comparison, but I remember it being out there.
Ted Wilson & his friends were amongst the first people to climb a lot of routes in the Wasatch. I believe he was the first to climb the Lone Peak Cirque. I know he was involved in some rescue of injured climbers on Grand Teton decades ago.
I said beloved
Wilson was a history/political science teacher at Skyline when I attended in 73-75. Excellent teacher, great guy, student favorite.
One of my favorite headphone songs is " In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" RIP Dickey
