I was just going to share this too.
He was hilarious in Major League. The world has lost a bright light of humanity.
âJuuust a bit outsideâ RIP
âBall FourâŚBall EightâŚI just canât believe how the Yankees arenât swinging at these.â
It was a great movie.
" Heywood is a convicted felon isnât he Monte? Well he should be .â
âThis guy threw at his own kid in a father-son game.â
âOh, I must be on the front row.â
âHe missed the tag! He missed the tag!!!â
âThatâs a towering line drive⌠for a strikeâ when an opposing hitter hit a long foul off a Brewers pitcher.
Wasnât his most memorable acting chops on Mr. Belvedere in the 80âs as the sexually oppressed ornery father? Had limited patience with the British nanny dude due to the nanny having the better fathering skills and then the nanny dude writing about it in his diary. That is memorable tv, thatâs MeTV. Lol.
What an artist he was! Mulholland Drive might be the best film made in this century. Blue Velvet, The Elephant Man, Eraserhead, Inland Empire, Twin Peaks, all classics. And he wasnât just an arthouse filmmaker, he could do straight stories as well, for example the film The Straight Story. Hell, I even really loved his version of Dune. The only disappointment is that he didnât make more films, he had a very limited oeuvre, much like Kubrick.
When he blows his nose it looks like a party favor.
I grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and Ueck was a fixture on the radio for the Brewers. If you did not live in that area, you may not know what an outstanding play by play announcer he was. Few play by play guys had his baseball experience and knack for story telling. He could carry a broadcast all on his own without a color analyst. And he befriended so many people in the sporting and entertainment world he always had great interviews with people that popped into the booth wherever they were playing.
He lived a long and wonderful life, I doubt Iâll see another like him. RIP
RIP Tom Robbins. One of my favorite all time authors. Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates is my favorite.
Grammy Award winner Roberta Flack died at age 88
The Secret Service agent who dove onto to the car to attempt to protect JFK.
There have actually been conspiracy theories alleging that Hill shot Kennedy. Ridiculous.
I always had a thing for Gene Hackman.
Man, he gave us so many good roles. I hope that this was all just some horrible accident, and not foul play.
