Seems to me like Sports Ilustrated has lost control of their AI.
First the controversy about AI-generated stories with fake authors, now an (apparent) AI generated award.
Who actually works there, anymore?

Love him or hate him, dude made a really big splash. It was a bit of a belly flop, but it was a splash all the same. 
I will say his team won more games than last year’s Bottom 10 effort.
