I hope they give Weddle serious consideration. Not sure he’d leave San Diego though. His son Gaige still has two years as QB/Safety at Rancho Bernardo HS.
I don’t know if Jay Hill would leave one P4 for another to remain a DC. But he should be Scalley’s first, second, and third calls.

Scalley and Shah work as closely as two coaches can. I’ll put Sharrieff’s name out there.
Coaching the cover guys might be enough for him, but depending on the other coaches and where they’re at, I’d definitely support Shah. He’d be maybe the only lawyer DC in the country.

The timing is not right for Weddle and I’m not sure he would want the grind of college football coach. 10-12 hour days from August 1 to Jan 1. One week vacation after portal recruiting and before spring ball starts. Recruiting May and June. 1 week vacation in July and then start again.
I don’t know who is out there.
