Thanks!
I’m certainly not a country western purest, but so much music comes out of the folk, bluegrass & country vibe
It’s lost on me living basically in Nashville. I wish I loved it more so I could take advantage of my location.
I found myself liking fusion jazz from listening to the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
I kind of had to…my wife’s cousin Kenny is in the band.
I love Charles Mingus.
Agreed - one of the greatest of all time!
One of his better known tunes, but one of my favorites: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
I will say I prefer more of the New Orleans Second line sound.
Trombone shorty?
Sure. He’s more new school with some diff sound. I like traditional second line and Mardi Gras Indian music.
I do feel these guys transcended folk, country, blues, jazz etc…
But of course, not everyone likes em…
