We purchased a new mattress recently. It’s been a game changer, our sleep has improved tremendously. With the sticker price shock of the new mattress we didnt purchase pillows. Now we’re in need for new ones. Anyone have a pillow brand they love and would recommend?

In reviewing Wirecutter on the NYT, it appears Sleepnumber’s pillows rate the highest for a down alternative pillow, the Nest Bedding Easy Breather (Shredded Foam) was the top overall rated, Garnet Hill’s Down Pillow was considered an upgrade choice, and Extreme Comfort’s Foam Pillow was the Budget Choice ($45 on Amazon). The other recommended pillows are more expensive.

We bought a Purple Mattress about a month ago. Purple Mattress also sells pillows, but they range from $200-$300 per pillow, which seems outrageous to me.

I have a Casper mattress and love it, and I got their pillows as well, which I also like, but it did cost a bit. And it runs “hot” where I hope for nights in the 40’s 50’s so I can keep the window up and not overheat. Summer is tough when temps don’t go down below 70 much.
I hear that Purple runs cooler, is that the case?

The Purple Mattress does serm to run cool. I love that about it.
I’m going to test drive some pillows this weekend. I had a great soft down pillow once, but the wife stole it. Grrrr!

They do that…and daughters are worse! Mine used to jump into bed with her mom and get my side of the bed all hot. Then she would giggle and leave.
There is a lot of evil in that child.
