This topic crosses boundaries where sports and politics intersect. The NAACP is calling on athletes to boycott states that are gerrymandering districts to eliminate the influence of black voters. Remains to be seen how this impacts recruiting. Some major SEC powers would be involved.
I looked at a couple of local sources from Tennessee and Florida. The sportswriters there seemed to lend little credence to the boycott efforts. There is certainly no lack of arrogance with sportswriters in the south.
