Yep, keep blaming Taylor… totally his fault, and not at al Larry Scott, and that last douchebag… THEY were the ones ultimately responsible. The President;s had a duty to not jsut roll over for whatever abuse ESPN and others were trying to dish out.

I dont think anyone is laying all blame at Taylor’s feet, but he does share some of it.
I do believe that Taylor made a huge faux pas with the TV contract situation while simultaneously believing thst he has been an excellent university president at Utah. Both can be true.
I don’t think that was an error at all.
That was supposed to be a starting point for the conference, yet the CEO decided that was a non-negotiable and froze out the presidents so they were unaware of how the negations were really going
I blame him for that because HE said that went along with the other presidents and tried to eek out more. .
He also got in step with the other corners and got us in the big 12 and was smart enough to not grant rights and we came in at a full share.
He goofed. he also righted the athletic ship and he continues to move the U forward. He is an a -plus hire that was involved with the other presidents goofing up the pac12 . ( he was not the leader of that group )
frankly based on the stuff he finagles out of Maricopa county and the cities to building his university’s building and infrastructure i would be Michael Crow was knee deep in driving them the wrong direction . that just me talking cause my city water had a slight large increase to help fund the new film school in downtown mesa. . He is good at that stuff.
also Larry Scott wore out his usefulness about a month after we joined the conference and Kliavkoff was stuck getting out maneuvered by Cali schools and Washington ( all who followed the money of big media) . he was a dead man walking when he came in. Big 12 was smart and took the guarantee instead of hubris.
In about 6 years we will be complaining about something, hope Pres Randall keeps making the U valuable to the new super conferences. My money is on him to succeed.
As i stated the writing was on the wall for the pac and they goofed it. WE also landed pretty well.
We will sleep fine.
