Hoops at St. Mary's

I can remember back in the day, we used to use a land line with a board mixer to phone in to the station to do our broadcast.

Most stadiums today have Ethernet jacks to the digital mixer so you can internet stream the game back to the station for broadcast/streaming.

What Riles had to do last night wasn’t even as good as Option #1 as wireless phones are terribly unreliable in stadiums, hence Third World.

If there isnt a drinking game with our football radio broadcasts there should be?

If you ever listen to ESPN700 during a football broadcast and they throw it diwn to the sideline reporter, there’s a better then 50% chance that their will be some tech difficulty. I recall a game this year where they threw it diwn to Sylvester for a sideline update 5 times during a game and there wasnt a single time that it worked. Its just all part of the fun.

I love radio, especially AM. I was raised by Coast to Coast. Art Bell, may the gods rest his collection of sub-atomic paricles.

The game should be called, “Check It,” as a homage to Bill Marcroft.
