Bearing in mind there’s a fundamental difference in the relationship between kids and their moms, and that dads are often tougher to shop for, we don’t really appreciate flowers, etc…
I propose there be an unwritten tradition between dads, a brotherhood of understanding. Especially if you have teenagers to twenty-somethings, after 3p you can put on a t-shirt like below.
Example scenario:
“Happy Fathers Day, dad! I hope you’ve had a great day! Oh yeah, can I have some money to go to the mall with my friends? There’s a new movie out, and…”
Then you simply smile and turn and face them with the t-shirt on.
Just for this one day.
