Guilty Pleasure

A guilty pleasure is something, such as an activity or a piece of media, that one enjoys despite understanding that it is not generally held in high regard

I sure hope folks don’t take this to mean something creepy. It’s not.

I watch YouTube vids on Karen’s (male or female) getting their comeuppance.

Yes, I realize my recent stance on property taxes likely makes me look like a Karen.

I like one song that the band Bread did in the early 70’s.

Oh yeah, one more thing, I think the 1990 film “My Blue Heaven” with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis is a cinematic masterpiece.

My top 3 Bands are (not in order)
The Beatles; Steely Dan and Grateful Dead and all I get are endless, negative clichés ad nauseum.
But I don’t feel guilty at all

Yeah, that one would have probably been a guilty pleasure for me as well - sometime remind me to tell you the story of me and a friend being recruited from Reservoir Park by a guy in a stretch limousine, as emergency fill in stagehands for the band Bread in May of 1972, and helping setup all the band’s equipment for the concert at the (then) Special Events Center. I got to tune up and play a very rare, early 1949 (and unique - from the unfortunate wood carving on the guitar body) Fender Broadcaster guitar that belonged to Bread guitarist Larry Knechtel.

I only recently learned the true origin and meaning of the name Steely Dan, which was not what I had always heard it was - yet is right up there in pure obscene bliss. Great band, great name.

This is the only thing I ever eat from McDonald’s. Every now and then I just like to pick one up as a snack. Don’t judge me.
