During USC’s timeout, Whittingham asked Rising why the team was lined up in the wrong formation. Rising thought he was supposed to run a Flea Flicker because he had read his wristband wrong. Whittingham said, “Great call, let’s go with it.”
I’m glad the coaching staff recognized that it was the right call, and I’m glad Rising put the ball right on the money.
