If I understand the agreement with Crimson Brand Partners, it is campus-wide and not just athletics. I haven’t learned all the details yet.

In the long run I think out of a lot of those notorious advertising from Siegfried Jensen was one of the least predatory and obnoxious food and I basing that on the fact that I ended up going to Siegfried and Jensen when I got ran over by a car and a crosswalk in January of 97. Couple of things here: First, I went to their website and they are totally ambulance chasers. Second, they are only located in NJ (with one office in PA) so they are clearly in the marketplace where Temple is and pretty sure everyone there already knows the firm. What new clients are they going to reach when Temple plays in South Florida and Memphis when they are thousands of miles away? Seems like there is literally no ROI here.

Everything in this country is bought and sold.
They’re ambulance chasers! They swing for the fences! They want to get into the class action…uhh…action. They want people to think Gerry Spence was a small claims court bully.
There was some celebrity lawyer with his own 737, enough swagger to put the fear of liquidation into every business man’s psyche. 737 shadow swooping over the local big timers like a pterodactyl.

Unrelated anecdote - in the 90s I did some IT moonlighting for a guy who claimed he’d previously been in the CIA who was trying to run a small business doing supplements. “James Bond, got it” was my initial reaction.
Turns out the dude I was doing work for was a CIA operative, eventually spent 10 years in the federal pokey for arms trafficking. EX-CIA AGENT GUN-RUNNING
The point - in earlier cases for drug distribution and fraud his attorney was none other than Oscar Goodman, who went on to be the mayor of Las Vegas, succeeded in that job by his wife Carolyn Goodman, who retired a couple of years ago.
In interviews, Oscar Goodman sounds like a dressed up version of Saul Goodman, the fictional character. God bless America, aren’t we all fortunate to be protected by the Constitution, etc.

The depiction of his wife in a sense by extension, reminds me of the mayor as depicted in the series hacks on hbo.
