More and more EMS folks who are seeing incidents like this every week now, often with terrible consequences. Not sure how unregistered, low-to-ground vehicles without lights and traveling as high-speed through neighborhoods are somehow legal: but they are certainly not safe.
For those with young children please, please pay attention to this growing trend.
We also have increased responsibility to be aware of not just motorcycles anymore.
My wife was reading something to me from a neighborhood website she pays attentions to, about a group of 15-20 boys, reportedly early to mid teens, going out late (after midnight) and riding e-bikes, wildly, as a group, on I-215, somewhere near Olympus Cove.
They race around as fast as possible, without regard for freeway lanes, popping wheelies, and generally have a wild and crazy time without any regard for traffic, or seemingly their own safety.
Someone else from another neighborhood in town posted a response describing similar actions in their area.
Kids will be kids, and I did a lot of stupid things when I was young, but this seems really far out there!

And to think that I used to pay them a quarter a piece to “go play on the freeway”. Now they are doing it for free.
