I’m not a fan of the Dodgers, but they are entertaining. Too bad my Cubbies are so hot and cold, a match up with the Dodgers could be fun to watch.
It was a gutsy call by Mookie. Now they go back to LA in command of the series.
Their bullpen is still suspect as hell, though. The relief pitchers need to leave the damned gas cans in the bullpen and quit trying to burn down wins.
Go Phillies!
Love Trienen, but he’s done. We’ll see if Kershaw has some left in the tank.
Sheehan and Sasaki out of the pen has been brilliant. Vesia has been solid, especially since he stopped chewing gum and tipping his pitches (fast chew = fastball, slow = breaking ball). Dreyer throws strikes, Enriques throws really hard.
Baseball is crazy - I couldn’t believe they were doing bullpen games in the World Series, so you never know.
After that loco ending to Game 4 vs the Phillies…
… it’s nice to be in alignment with Bill Murray again!
Great win tonight. Also, don’t count out the cubs. I went to Wrigley yesterday and that tends to cause a major turnaround for teams.
Until you’ve been in Wrigley and watched a HOF pitcher, starting for the Cubs, get run off the mound before the echoes of the National Anthem have stopped in the stadium, you haven’t experienced Cubbies Baseball.
In light of additional event results, I do not believe Santa will be visiting Philadelphia this year.

As Mac would put it, yeah, no â– â– â– â– .
Between PAC-12 alums Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo reviving the Giants in smashing the Eagles, and the Dodgers moving on from the Phillies on a self-inflicted fielding error by the closer… I think productivity in Philadelphia today will be at levels typically found in Siberia.
Danny DeVito may need to put out a PSA - "OK, maybe it’s not Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but hang in there and don’t throw garbage on the streets. We need to get through this together."
Go Dodger Blue!!!
Thumbs up for Kendrick Lamar, but go Brewers!
A primer for the kale loving Dodger fans to communicate with the Milwaukee crowd.
See, I don’t need this. I went to UW Madison for a tour this week and half that town is more liberal than the average Dodger crowd. The 1/3rd of the Dodger crowd are Rancho Libertarians from Jalisco or Zacatecas. The other 1/3rd are White Bros who love to call Tijuana TJ and then there is another third that are Asian or a hodge podge of a bunch of sub categories.
Not sure how political leanings became part of the conversation, but ok.
“Kale Loving” tends to make me think someone is invoking “liberal.” Typically the Kale lovers are not natural Los Angelenos IMHO. Most Doyer fans are more blue collar and more “Pastrami Loving” or “Carne Asada Loving.”
That said, I do love a kale salad.
Now I am jonesing for a Dodger Dog.
What’s a Dodger Dog? Is it as delicious and nutritious as a Seattle Dog?
It’s a 1/2 pound grilled beef hot dog you doctor up with what you like. I like mustard and sauerkraut.
