I’ll admit. Watching Penn St. last night and Ohio St. in the Rose Bowl (esp. with all these passing TDs) brings a little PTSD. Good overall experience (went to Penn St. one), but my brain did have a reaction

I totally get that. Proximity to Buckeyes clouds my view. Buckeyes are my Padres of College Ball as Tennessee is my SF Giants.

The way I see it, Phil Knight was the one who started it all. Oregon and USC led the destruction of the PAC-12. I will always cheer against both schools, no matter the circumstances.

I will always have a warm place for Boise State because their fans adopted a car full of U students in the stadium parking lot and fed them before we played them. As I was one of those student, you might understand my feelings.

For context, they were a 1-AA school back then and Pokie Allen was the coach. #ancienthistory

I remember them beating the crap out of WSC (that long ago) repeatedly. I hated them profoundly

Texas is one of those teams that I hope lose all their games. Southern Cal is another one.

Ironically for first time ever I have some mild respect for Sarkisian getting hid act together. That school however, deserves eternal hatred and contempt… as referenced, it’s the mid country equivalent to U.SoCal. ( gotta differentiate from South Carolina)

That is absolute bullsh*t. If that’s not targeting, I have no idea what is.

We got used to very tight definition of what targeting is in the PAC12. (Thinking of the call against Chase Hansen in Boulder a few years back) But seems that nothing is an automatic targeting call (even with replay) now.

I think it wasn’t called because 1) it was a little more the forehead of the helmet, not crown (really close, but his head was more ‘up’), 2) CFP told the reviewer Texas was better for Cotton Bowl ratings . It was a vicious hit, but the outcome can’t necessarily dictate the call.
