The subjective thing that gets to me is the circular logic when talking about tough schedules
Alabama has a tough schedule because they have to play Tennessee and Georgia
Georgia has a tough schedule because they have to play Tennessee and Alabama
Tennessee has a tough schedule because they have to play Alabama and Georgia
Reminds me of the Big East in basketball in the 80’s
IMO it was the expectation that because it is Alabama that they should automatically be in the Playoff, and that up to 3/4 of the teams should be SEC that irks me.
Growing up in Utah, we saw similar from BYU fans, and is part of why the “Holy War” is so heated.
I’m also reminded of the “Texas is back” crowd.
Anyway, I understand your irritation with the 'bama fanbase.
“If the SEC wants to maintain its position as the league’s premiere conference as well as its ability to command six to eights spots in the CFP annually,”
I get why they are upset because not all schedules are equal and Alabama did play more Top 25 teams but they all are forgetting they crapped the bed against the 6-6 squads and not the Top 25 squads. This was always a rebuilding year so I am not sure why they are mad.
The only thing that kinda lingers is how big the super conference will be and if the non included schools should even retain programs once they are cut out?
I have wondered the same thing. He was Isaac Wilson’s predecessor at Corner Canyon, though he only lived and played here for one year after moving from Arizona.
