Iâm reaching the point of simply not caring about any college structure for FB because it is all in a state of rolling implosion.
Zero reason to believe the chaos is going to slow or stop any time soon. Itâs one reason why Id be fine going back to the whimpPac conference. I hate being in the conference with BYU and have no connection to those Texas schools. I expressed this before last week so itâs nothing new. I donât wanna be in the Big12.
Have to say my one spark of joy this year has been seeing the SEC and USC/UCLA suffer. Sad that that has been the only bright spot. Guess Iâm ust petty that way.
B1G too, so we get 10-0 Indiana who has played no one (until Nov 23 when they play Ohio St., which I think will be a solid win to a blowout for the buckeyes). The who plays who and luck of the schedule works itself out in tiebreakers, but divisionless huge conference structures are stupid.
Almost like the SEC should have divisions and then a 4 team playoff. Maybe add the 4 top B1G, making an 8 team playoff. Oh, wait, thatâs where we are headed soon âŚ
But yes, who doesnât get in? The same debate about the 42nd best team left out of March Madness. Probably LSU (would have 3 overall losses), then TAMU (3), then Mizzou (SOS) if any ends with 2 conf losses, but these same teams, if in CCG, kind of have to be in CFP, right? But crazy that itâs like Texas/Alabama in championship, then seems like Ole Miss, UGA, and Tenn are likely in (gotta win, but could weather UGA loss)
Well, we finally got a mention in this weekâs Bottom 10. Not in the Honorable Mentions, but for Harlanâs meltdown in all its gloryâŚeeeerrrrrâŚinfamy.
This season has sucked beyond any football season since the Jim Fassell days. But if Kansas could somehow beat BYU today, it would be pretty nice. It would hardly make up for the crap-fest that is currently Utah football, but it would be nice. So far, 7-0 KU.
