It’s been quite the opening weekend. Lots of entertaining games and highlights. Some of the circus catches made on both sides were out of this world. I’m looking forward to next weekend. I hope the Pig Farmer gets another W on U$C.

FWIW U$C and L$U really didn’t impress much. Both have all the talent money can buy, but both teams played really undisciplined ball. Lots of really stupid penalties on both teams made it kind of a mess. That is on the coaching.
Maybe they will play each other again in the Weedwhacker Bowl, and half their players will opt out.

Well, with Florida State dropping from #10 to OFF BOTH POLLS COMPLETELY is the best argument I have seen in years for why NO RANKINGS SHOULD BE DONE until after week 3 when most teams have cleared their NC games and we have a reasonable idea of performance

I do remember a year a certain team started 1-2, but then went 8-1 in conference, won the conference championship, then unfortunately suffered a qb injury (after having to put a RB in as CB) and lost the Rose Bowl.
Not saying FSU will do this, but conference is what matters. I don’t like them and have schadenfreude with them being 0-2, especially after being left out of the playoff last year, but
