Yeah. 20 something unanswered in 4th is no bueno
Gave up 567 yards to a 1AA. I thought Donko was supposed to be a defensive genius.
I donāt think NIL payments in Shiny Rocks is much of an enticement to prospective players.
Maybe a new El Caminoā¦IS THERE such a thing?
Is it too early to say that Donko is already on the hot seat? Now heās on a āQuest for Ejectionā.
Broadcasters talked about Bronco not letting anyone have a jersey number in camp until they earned it. Classic Bronco weirdity.
Then a crowd of maybe 5000 - along with a national TV audience - saw Bronco crap his pants in his debut at UNM.
Hahaha.
Remember when we held off the Cougs in the Vegas Bowl after getting up 35-0, then a few days later Bronco bailed on them to go to Virginia? That was a quality period of BYU watching. Man, the Yners were so angryā¦after working themselves into a moral victory in their failed comeback in the bowl, a game they bought all the tickets to, knowing for half the season they were headed to LV.
Today the broadcasters mentioned Mrs Bronco just arrived in the ABQ because she had to sell all the horses from their ranch.
Thatās another giggle, the way the game ended up.
Tonight is quiet time at the Casa de Broncoā¦
Sister Mendenhall is probably thinking āI had to endure nasty comments from the fans in Provo, and now here, there are no fans. I wonder if the AD is going to question Broncoās policy of never working on Sundays. And now the horses are all goneā.
Relocating from Montana to New Mexico is quite a change.
There might not be 5 people in the stadium to watch games, but I am pretty sure there are more than 5 people living in Albuquerque. Mrs. Rosco may be happy for that.
Loved seeing FSU lose yesterday. There are select very few college teams that I have always rooted to lose every single game they play. FSU is one of them. Miami and USC would be the others.
Thereās a few recent additions based on more current coaches or horrid situations. Penn Stateās program should have been burned to the ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ground and it will forever piss me off they got a wrist-slap. I absolutely cannot stand Dabo, Gundy, Deion, or Day, so while I will actively root against all of them now, I donāt particularly dislike their teams. I can shift those to neutral if/when those coaches leave.
Seeing FSU lose was sweet. Watching New Messico lose in one of the most classic 4th quarter meltdowns ever was worth giving them status in the āBottom 5ā forever.
GaTech came to play, they treated Ireland to a good game. The two Haynes are really good players, both QB Haynes King and RB Jamal Haynes.
The atmosphere in Dublin was a big party, I kept waited for the announcers to get sloshed and the beeps to start appearing in the broadcast.
Alas, they didnāt chug the Guiness they showed in the booth, but handed one down to the cameraman below. I remained hopeful, but it wasnāt to be.
Moderation is the enemy of cheap entertainment, gentlemen!
I, too, was pleased to see GT win.
I wouldnāt mind seeing a couple of coaches never win again, and a program or 3. Mostly for me, the programs. Deion is a piece of work. IMO he was more tolerable as a player, as a coach I think his true colors are coming out.
Penn State deserves to never win again, same for Mich State. Those that I just dislike enough to be happy to see them never win again are BYU and TU-Austin.
In all fairness, Montana St was favored by 13. So UNM did better than expected. But yeah, giving up a 17-point lead in the fourth is bad.
The teams that I always want to see lose are Miami, Texas, Alabama, and Southern Cal.
There are a few others that when they lose, I smile.
That is the perfect word to sum up Bronco M.
He would have been much better off waiting for a job at Montana or Montana State. Either program is miles ahead of UNM. And he could have kept his horsies.
thereās never a bad time to ditch a greedy cable provider
CLASSIC!!!
ā¦.BUT THE MONEY!!!
āIf a football game is played on the West Coast after Week 5, does anyone on the West Coast that is not in the stadium actually know itās being played?ā
why do I have this sense that in a few years UA, ASU, BYU, CU, Utah, CAL and Stanfordās President will meet in some airport lounge to have the talk?
Include Oregon St, Wazzu and SDSU? Thatās not a bad 10 team regional league.
Whatās Hair Thompson up to these days?
This isnt a bash the Big XII post. I just dont know how this is sustainable. Maybe Iām wrong?
Leave out byu and youāve got a deal
Youāre thinking too yesteryear. Presidents donāt make these decisions anymore, the TV executives do and tell them the outcome . Future is NIL and pay to play. Venture Capital. Itās superconferences (maybe with regional divisions). Itās an expanded 16 team playoff. Not happy about it, but unless you want to be a G5 conference (probably evolving into a separate division - right now, a token 1 gets into the playoff; would be like 1 FCS getting into a decent bowl game), the P4 ā P2 has left the station.
Edit: Or it all blows up, TV says itās not worth it (unlikely, but push it far enough and itās just another USFL), and everyone scrambles and the great break-up begins but the haveās do their thing while the have nots are left out.
