I watched some of that game. BYU was the better team. They had more speed, more shots. They were robbed of a goal by a bogus offsides call.

So the “eye test” proponents would send BYU to the finals and disregard the onfield head-to-head results. Alabama would be thrilled with this!!

What’s not shown in those condensed videos is the ybu players instigating most of the sketchy play. They were elbowing the Lobo player, grabbing her jersey and shorts, taking her to the ground and call her names all game long. The ybu fans were all over her the entire game as well. I seem to remember there was a concerted effort by the ybu side against this player to get her to react, and she did (rightfully so).

Actually her takedown was hella legit. She could land in an MMA gym and tune up few folks. Don’t recall an elbow to the ribs as fair game in soccer. Some people should not be provoked.

If you watch the full video the lovo player retaliated to unprovoked aggression. Byu started the dirty play and couldnt finish it. Not surprised really. Dirty, pathetic cheapshots are their gold standard.
