Baylor Game Thread

Colorado up 13-0 at half. His players are getting millions in NIL $.

Hate to say it but watch out. It is starting to look like he is catching lightning in the bottle.

If he can manage to start collecting a lot of elite recruits he is going to be a lot of trouble in the B12.

I know there are key injuries, and I know Baylor came out inspired to atone for last week, but good grief, Texas St. put up 42 points on this team. Texas St. Ridiculous.

They didn’t have Barnes at QB.

We flat out don’t have good enough QB play to win this game.

Took a break from moving furniture to check the score.

Yikes.

It would be interesting to know exactly what the coaches feel his limitations are. His passes have looked really good thus far (with a small sample number). He has been accurate, has a nice throwing motion, and passes with nice velocity.

My guess is that he is not processing the check downs as well as Barnes. A lot of the great running QBs tend to look for one receiver and then take off running. Not sure if this is still a problem for Nate.

Nate obviously has the highest ceiling and it is not close.

It seems pretty clear that more of what we have seen so far is not going to get it done today.

Yeah, I have next to know faith this team can win this one with Barnes at the helm. And rhe defensive line is getting pushed around.

Disappointing thus far, but not really unexpected. One dimensional, unproven offense.

I think you’ve got a point there. On one play, he clearly stared down the receiver long enough to let the defender step in and knock the pass down. I haven’t been watching closely enough to know if he’s done that other times.

He also put the ball on the ground again. That’s three times in two games. So I wouldn’t blame the coaches for being nervous about giving him the offense right now.

Yeah the coaches are certainly experienced enough to recognize who is their best player!

Good grief what a mess!

We still have a couple tight ends who can play right?

That’s been my question too. Do some dump offs to the TEs

We have been spoiled with Cam. I think he is probably either the best or second best QB in school history. Alex was probably better but recency bias is real and Cam is fantastic.

 I think they know enough not to trust him. I wonder if they know enough not to keep the tuning the two quarterbacks?

It’s hard to judge on only one pass and then get pulled out. he has no opportunity to learn from that and make any corrections. Not impressed with Ludwig today either, so far.

He is going to be benched when Cam returns.

“QBs transfer. It is what they do.”

The coaches may be playing the long game here. Keep Nate in the program by giving him time. The job will be open next year.

Our D line didn’t come out in fire. Being outplayed immediately still.

When was the last time an opponent was able to run this well against us?
