Guess I’ll take that, but not sure we deserve it. Once we get our 9 starters back then I can see us knocking on the top 10 door. It serves us well going forward, but if we lose a stupid one (Baylor?) then we fall a long ways.

Honestly, if the Utes get through September with zero losses you’re looking at Top 5 if not 4.

Vannini in his 133 ranking at the Athletic has the Utes at #9. He does say his rankings are volatile early in the season. If your team had a big win, a bad loss or an ugly win, it could see a sizable rise or drop in the rankings. If your team beat up on a far inferior opponent, not much will change.

It feels a bit light but if we win the next 3 weeks it’ll be where it should be.
