If anybody’s going, they could also go to another event that day. #4 Arizona plays #14 FAU at 1 pm at T-Mobile Arena. A good way to pass the time until the game and it would give y’all an opportunity to see Utah’s future competition in person before we play them.
The December 23 date for this bowl has always been a big problem for me.

It is what it is. Even the Hawaii bowl, which is traditionally on Christmas Eve, is on the 23rd this year because Christmas Eve is on a Sunday.

My guess is that it’s on Saturday because of all the NFL games on Sunday.

anyone have any recommendations on where to park for Alliegent Stadium? I’d prefer parking on the strip and taking the pedestrian bridge.

IIRC we parked at the MGM parking garage last year and walked over. Much cheaper and convenient, and I needed to get back there to pick up my money from having bet on Utah to win, not just cover, win. Even better was in 2021 when we had a room at the Courtyard near the stadium. That was perfect.

We’re right there with you. Every Christmas Eve through Christmas Day we have a minimum of three family gatherings plus church. Any game within three days either side of Christmas, therefore, becomes problematic. Add in that we just were on Kauai for 9 days, and this year’s bowl is a non-starter for us.

We’re flying to Vegas tonight and back on Sunday. This might be the last time the Utes play in Vegas for a while.

That’s actually a very possible outcome. Big 12 vs Big 10 (or ACC) could be good - try to pick more western teams? Holiday, LA Bowl, etc. all have that issue too. Alamo stays Big 12 but maybe ACC is the opponent?. Sun probably goes Big 12/ACC.
We talked about it, since we’re in Salt Lake for Christmas. Good excuse to escape family drama. But no, we’re not going.

It could but let’s hope the Utes qualify for something bigger. And, assuming the Utes can get there I’ll reeallly miss a CCG held in Vegas.
BTW if there’s one Pac-12 Bowl spot that seems sure to go to the Big12, I’d have to say the Sun.
