That’s a good hire by ESPN.
Congratulations to Alex on the new chapter.
Didn’t he finish a Econ degree in 2 years? And as a cerebral QB, he’ll have a lot to add. Good for him and good hire.
Class act.
I’ll bet he excels as an analyst because he does the work.
Would love to see him show up at RES from time to time now that he’s retired. I’m sure the recognition he’d get here would be more sincere than the fair-weather SF fans.
Alex’s Ted talk.
Article on his daughter, Sloan.
In case you are wondering what Alex Smith is up to these days?
I’m in Groveland, CA today ( just outside Yosemite) with no access to the NFL except Sirius radio. I just heard an ad that Alex Smith has his an NFL Sirius Radio show.
I also saw that he re-signed a couple weeks ago with ESPN to a multi year deal for NFL Countdown.
I always hoped/wondered if he’d get into coaching. Not sure if he wants to, and I wouldn’t blame him.
