What happens with a player like Zach Keller, who does not enter the portal. Maybe because he has 1 year left & realizes he might not exit the portal with an offer. He is a big body with 5 fouls, so I guess he has a role.
Is he guaranteed a roster spot or scholarship or what does Jensen do in that situation?
No idea, but I suppose (hope) Zach is not making plans in a vacuum and has consulted with someone about his options.
I wonder if Keller hits the Google machine, does a little research, sees some film of Alex as a player and thinks:
“He was built kind of like me! Neither of us were / are going to be lotto picks, but this Majerus guy was pretty highly regarded, and Jensen was a pretty solid player, himself. This might just be interesting.”
Every team needs glue players. If Keller is on the roster next year, it means Alex sees something, it seems to me.
Every team needs size and Keller is big. He may not play a lot, but he would add depth.
Keller is also dating Sam Crispe on the women’s team.
If we need a team enforcer…maybe.
There are no guarantees

Maybe the Wright brothers can invent some new way for the Utah men’s basketball program to take flight.
With 15 scholarships available, the Utes will have a tough time filling out the roster with legitimate D-1 players ready to contribute the minute they hit the court.
