2025 Football Ticket gripe thread

My W-14 Row 22 (2 tickets) total cost went from $2,680 to 2,800
My N-25 Row 39 (2 tickets) total cost went from $1,030 to 1,100

I figured I would continue to get season tickets until I turn 70, in two years. Although the cost is getting me close to the tipping point, the real problem for me are the kick-offs after 8:00 pm.

Mine went from 980 to 1200 for W08 Row 50. Two tickets

We’re in the same group that went from $2680 to $2800 for E34 Row 14 seats. Basically the ticket cost went up 17.6% (from $680 to $800), which has been the norm for when they pulled the, “same price per game,” scam for years when bouncing between six and seven home games. The kicker this year is there are still only six home games.

I decided some time ago that Mark Harlan’s best skill as AD is to jack up ticket prices. Actually providing products and experiences that justify those increases, not so much.

I have 5 tickets in N21. They went from $2,700 last year to $3,000 this year.

I’ve been debating giving them up for several years. Partly because of the cost, partly because I don’t enjoy live events as much anymore (I’m perfectly happy to watch from my couch), and partly because I just don’t really care that much about football in general.

With my likely coming unemployment, it’s likely this becomes that year. I may still pay for the tix and try to sell them, but I don’t really know that I’m all that interested in keeping them anymore.

I made enough money off ticket sales last season to fly the family to Utah to watch the BYU game. I’m hoping this year we can up that profit margin and go someplace interesting. And that’s not a joke.

The last two posts from @SkinyUte and from @UteKing show me that the demand is out there still for tickets and that in some way supports the athletic department to increase prices.

So, hooray for you two!!

This is why I cancelled Alabama and Vanderbilt and now I just do Season Tix (just one game but they still call it that) for Rose Bowl. It was a better value to me. The season tix hikes are getting stupid when TV’s are better visuals than in person in some cases. I still can show up to tailgate if I wanted. lol

$3k for three for this view of Rose Bowl Game:

given my health issues, I gave up season tix several years ago after repeatedly eating the last 3 games due ti weather/time combo. All the metal in my knees and bad joints anyway just cant deal with that cold wind coming over the bowl rim.

Two years in a row I ate the final home game: 2023 because TIcketmaster refused to open my ticket and couldnt get in … after nearly an hour of trying. 2024 because I wasnt going to subject myself to possible humiliation from a decent Iowa State team, considering how the season was going.,

We are in the same situation as everyone else. Our 2 tickets in N24 Row 12 went from $1080 to $1200. The one big reason I keep the tickets is that my dad has a tailgate pass and seems to enjoy doing all that for family and friends. If he were to say that he was done tomorrow, I probably would not renew and just throw the tailgate at home.
