I blame LA Ute ![]()
On second thought…
Just as I thought, Utes are going to blow this. It’s the hallmark of a poor team: no composure whatsover.
Lack of composure has always driven me nuts. I remember a stretch when Krysko’s teams were really bad at it. Question: If you’re a coach, how do you teach composure? Can you? Or is it just a matter of time and experience? Inquiring minds want to know.
Nice game for Hayes. Since he was supposed to RS, maybe he’ll factor in next season?
ESPN shows we have a 79% chance to win, LOL
It seems we are right on cue.
Honestly, I see lack of composure, poise as the No.1 problem with Utah basketball since 2005–06. How many games has Utah controlled 90% of the way only to see them falter down the stretch? Lack of composure leads to silly turnovers, careless fouls, lack of concentration leading to missed easy shots and losing the person you’re guarding. So frustrating.
399 days since Utah has won a road game
Up 5 with 10 seconds. I think Utah might actually pull it out. How about that!
a win, a win!
Check it! Zero
Win win win!!!
We just increased our # of wins by 100%!
Whew! Cut to 3 with 5 seconds left and then two missed Utah free throws. I was thinking, “WVU is going to nail a 3 at the buzzer.” Nice to finally get a road win. And make no mistake, WVU isn’t a bad team.
How nice to get this streak ended!!
And the Zoobs lost too. I watched some of that game too. BYU’s offense is basically the rented phenom kid going one on one 90% of the time. Defensively, they run around like idiots. Not super impressed with Kevin Young.
Really need to knock down the late free throws. Cost us a win at Cincinnati and could have cost us last night.
But good trip overall and thrilled to finally get a road win.
What are the thoughts on tonight’s game with UCF? I think it’s winnable, but it’ll be tough. UCF has a high-scoring offense. Utah needs to bring a focused defensive effort.
Utah should win. That’s my expectation.
Utah beats West Virginia in Morgantown. West Virginia is tied for sixth in the Big 12 with BYU and UCF and a bubble team.
Cincinnati blows out Kansas in Lawrence. Utah had Cincinnati about beat on the road. Missed a couple of front ends, go figure.
I always suspected Utah has had good players. It had good players Alex let go.
I think Alex blew it this year. We should forgive him because he’s been too long in that NBA sewer and needed to recover how to coach college.
I’m done with NIL excuses. Utah has the resources to compete.
